One Month Since Returning From Korea – Update

Today marks 1 month since returning from my first journey back to the homeland. I’ve been in relative hiding the last few weeks reflecting over the experience and planning post-production on Seouljourn—I think about Korea every day. Over the next few weeks I’ll be regularly posting some of the photos and video footage from the trip, as well as updates on finishing the film project. I was invited to have lunch with Pastor Kim, Mrs. Kim & their beautiful family at their church in Anseong yesterday. The Kims adopted 3 children domestically and also have 1 biological son. The congregation welcomed me with a song, and I spoke with the Kims about the blessings of adoption and some of the shared experiences and challenges that both international and domestic adoptees face. After sharing our musical talents, we ended in group prayer for orphans & adoptees in Korea and everywhere. I've got Seoul, but I'm not a soldier 🇰🇷🌞💙 Straddling the demarcation line across a KPA soldier between North & South Korea on our tour of the DMZ. This is the table where the two countries hold negotiations & where they signed the armistice agreement. A North Korean defector spoke to adoptees about being separated from family & stressed that reunification is inevitable.
